~CT Tutorial~ ~Sailing Away~

CT PTU Tutorial  "Sailing Away"

This tutorial was written on May 27, 2014.

This tutorial writer assumes you have a working 
knowledge of using Paint Shop Pro.
This tutorial was done in Paint Shop ProX4,
but can be adapted to use in other 
Paint Shop Pro versions.

You MUST have the proper license to use this piece!


Here's what else you will need: 


Mask:  Designs by Vaybs "DBV Mask 59"   HERE: 
Don't forget to leave her some love!!!

Plug-ins:  Gradient Glow

Drop Shadow used: Vertical 4, Horizontal 4, Opacity 82, blur 4, color: #202020

Inner Bevel:  Bevel 2, width 15, smoothness 25, depth 18, ambience 4, shininess 30, color: white #ffffff, angle: 4, intensity 35, elevation 63

Font:  Pea Ellie Bellies HERE 

Font Color: #0e3f89 and #3c557e (or other colors from your tube)

Remember, please use all images properly, and license where applicable.

We will start from the bottom layer up, unless otherwise stated.

Abbreviations used:  
DS - drop shadow
RTF - resize to fit
C/P - copy and paste

Ready?  Let's begin!



Open New Image:  500 x 500

(please, dont forget to save as you go!)

C/P paper 24, resize 50%.
Add Mask, I used Designs by Vaybs Mask 59.  
Merge group. 
Add DS of choice.

C/P paper 1, resize 50%.

C/P Tube of choice into image.
Add DS of choice and copy.

C/P frame 3, RTF, add DS of choice.
Bring copy of tube above the frame layer, we will get back to her in a minute.
Take your magic wand, click inside frame.
Expand by 10.
Invert.
Activate Paper 1 layer, Delete.
Activate original Tube layer, Delete.

C/P elements, RTF, refer to my image for placement and add DS

Bring these between the tube and paper layers below the frame.

Go back to the copy tube layer above the frame.
Erase the parts you need to. (I erased her knees).

Add copyright layer with proper license. 

Add name, convert to raster.
Then add Eye Candy Gradient Glow to name:
 width 12, Corners, 25, Opacity 100, color from tube add DS.
